Does Copperhead Gin take its name from the copperhead snake? Nah. This gin has nothing to do with snakes - except of course the snaking queues of people lining up for a chance to purchase this gin. It may also resemble a snake in that way, too; it's not all that easy to get a hold of. That is, outside the online shop here at Urban Drinks. Now we'll leave you to make your mind up in terms of how you'd most like to enjoy Copperhead Gin. After of course providing the necessary information. Don't rush into it and take the time to inform yourself, because unlike many other contemporary gins, Copperhead Gin is in a class of its own.

Copperhead Gin brings Belgium to the table of gin producers

It's notable that Copperhead Gin comes from Belgium. Until now countries like England, Spain, France and Germany had all been charging ahead in terms of gin production and Belgium was nowhere to be seen. Copperhead changes that. With its passport as well as its unique backstory Copperhead Gin sets itself apart.

Copperhead Gin is the fruit of a series of experiments by one Dr. Copperhead, an alchemist in search of - wait for it - the elixir of life. We think that that's an apt endeavour for Copperhead Gin to have arisen from. Dr. Copperhead landed by surprise at this perfect use of his copper pot still. Copperhead Gin is made to a recipe comprised of 5 botanicals: cardamom, juniper berries, orange peel, angelica and coriander. Juniper had always been used in the search for this elixir - a wise inclusion according to us as big gin fans. It seems then, that it was only a matter of time before Copperhead Gin was created somehow. Well, either way, Copperhead got there first, so let's pour out a glass of Copperhead Gin and raise a toast to the alchemist!

Copperhead Gin's class of its own

The singular features of Copperhead Gin, which is available to purchase in the online shop here at Urban Drinks, are many. That beautiful copper bottle reminiscent of the copper pot stills traditionally used to distill gin is certainly among them. That the gin was a product of a search for the elixir of life is another. In our Copperhead Gin Alchemist Box you'll find three more. Three additives are provided which when added to the gin will boost its properties in any of the available directions; as an aperitif, a post-meal digestive aide or an anytime energy enhancer. That truly makes Copperhead Gin a gin for any occasion.

The creators of Copperhead Gin recommend pairing their product with Fever Tree Tonic Water for the perfect g&t. For a simple cocktail to accentuate this gin's orange tones, try the Orange Fizz:

  • 40ml Copperhead Gin
  • 40ml orange juice
  • 20ml lemon juice
  • 20ml sugar syrup
  • Soda water to top
  • Shake all of the ingredients apart from the soda water in a shaker with ice. Strain over a highball glass half-full of ice, top up with soda, and garnish with a slice of orange. Enjoy.
