Andalö Original is a refreshing liqueur for the summer time. As legend has it, its secret recipe traces back to the late 19th century when Sweden was under strict prohibition: While returning from the Bay of Pomerania of the Baltic Sea, the South Swedish alcohol smuggler Carl Petter Andersson and his ship "Andalö" got into a heavy storm. As a result, the smuggled alcohol got mixed up with fresh common sea-buckthorn juice which Andersson had taken with him for sustenance. Thrilled by his accidental creation, Andersson later refined the drink and bequeathed his descendants the recipe, which has now been rediscovered for Andalö Original, which was introduced in 2010.
Andalö Original is an expression of the joy of the life of the Swedish summer: either served pure, on the rocks or as a tangy aperitif infused with sparkling wine and some soda - this drink is a light and refreshing experience! On top of it, this liqueur is vitamin-packed: the sea-buckthorn berries have more vitamin C than lemons. In addition, it included the important vitamins provitamin A, vitamin E, and vitamin K.
