A wonderfully tasty rum from Sri Lanka: Ceylon Arrack combines Sri Lankans traditions with the old art of distilling. Produced in the Rockland Distilleries in the Southwest of Sri Lanka, the specialty about the rum is its base: palm sugar. Once invented for the royal family of Sri Lanka, Ceylon Arrack is exported worldwide today.
Ceylon Arrack is made without any artificial flavour additives – only natural ingredients are used within its making. In order to harvest the palm sugar, the sap from the inflorescence is tapped off the tree, fermented and then distilled. Afterwards, the rum ages in Halmilla wood barrels. On the palate, the amber-coloured rum satisfies with notes of coco, cinnamon and toffee.
