The latest offering from the well-known Jim Beam brand is this bourbon whiskey which has been aged in oak not once, but twice! It is aged first in charred American oak barrels, before then being poured into a second freshly charred barrel to impart even more smoky wood flavours. The result is a whiskey which is sweet with notes of vanilla and is delicately smooth, with more spiciness than other bourbons.
Double Oak Bourbon has aromas of caramel and vanilla with hints of toasted wood. The flavours are of caramel and toffee with a spicy oakiness. It has an abv of 43% and comes in the newly-redesigned Jim Beam packaging which features a contoured and embossed glass bottle with a foil label.
