Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur is manufactured on the Mediterranean island Sicily. Master Distiller Lesley Gracie, who is also in charge of the production at Hendrick's Gin, makes sure that all the ingredients for Solerno Liqueur come in at the right place. The blood orange spirit is many-sided which is why you can create classical and modern cocktail creations with it in no time.
The blood oranges are handpicked on the slopes of the volcano Etna on Sicily. In the juice plant Agrumeria Corleone, fresh citrus fruits have been pressed for over five generations. Within 24 hours after picking the oranges, they are processed to preserve all of the essential oils and a maximum of freshness. This step is followed by blending the blood orange oils with Italian lemons, a neutral spirit base and some natural sugar. After that, Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur is filled into the bulgy, red-dyed bottles. Another specialty about the Murano glass inspired bottles: the design of the bottom was influenced by traditional citrus squeezers.
In the nose, the Italian premium spirit presents a scent of blood oranges, red berries, orange blossoms and a hint of lemon. On the palate, a velvety sweetness paired with a balanced bitterness tickles your taste buds gently. The finish is long and dry.
