The former NASCAR driver Robert Glenn "Junior" Johnson is the mastermind behind the brand. His family was making moonshine all the way back in the Prohibition era, when it was still illegal. In 1956 he even spent 11 months in prison for operating his distillery. Just as well that the delicious Midnight Moon moonshine is perfectly legal today!
