Scapa Skiren
Scapa Skiren is a very special single malt from Scotland. The Orkney distillery Scapa only produces 360,000 litres of whisky every year, which increases the exclusivity of this fine malt. Skiren is also only bottled in American First Fill oak barrels.
Aroma and taste
The aroma of the Scapa Skiren single malt is wonderfully balanced. An intense touch of clementines provides fruity vibrations. The fruit is supported by a little heathen honey, which creates a sweet balance. The sweetness and the fruit dominate, but fine vanilla adds exciting, spicy elements. The Single Malt is creamy and soft on the tongue. A delicate sweetness, which harmonises perfectly with the fruitiness of ripe fruits, is inspiring. A clever contrast is provided by spices, which in turn are accompanied by subtle oak. The vanilla is also easy to recognize here.
Finish
Scapa Skiren is long-lasting in the finish. The spicy notes are particularly noteworthy here, with vanilla and ginger highlighting each other. In addition there are light accents of oak. Maritime impressions can also be found in the finish, which together with the spice, the woody nuances and some seaweed create a very complex experience.
